Purse Essentials

Image
Don't you hate that feeling of forgetting something? After reading this, you'll never have to feel that way again. I know I hate wishing I could have remembered to put something in my bag or just utterly forgetting something. I have compiled somethings I always keep with me, for those "just in case moments." To some this may seem excessive, but I know that the day I take something out, is the day I'll always need it. I'd rather be safe than sorry. This also can help you organize your bag/school bag (I just transfer things from one to the other if I decide to change purses after school or something), and it will help keep your personal things from mixing in with your other items. Keeping reading for more details and pics of my personal essentials.

quick tips

- Find some old makeup bags or pouches to put things in. This will keep things from floating around throughout your purse. Also decreasing the time it takes to locate something.
- Start a list of things you always seem to forget. If you are forgetting about something, what makes you think you'll remember to put in your bag? Jot down a few things you always wish you had with you are make sure you grab those things first when putting your essentials together!
- Don't go overboard. Adding a bunch of things will definitely weigh your bag down. Things you might feel are necessary, you might not even use. I know that even with some of the things I have in my bag I could probably make do without. Leave some room for a few of those things, but don't go toting around your entire bedroom in your bag.

Here are somethings in my purse that aren't contained in a bag, but I keep around anyways. I never used to carry around lotion, body splash, and deodorant but lately, I have found it's very convenient. Especially if you have something like a P.E. class in the middle of the day or want to freshen up.
I also keep a few lip products as well. As you will see, I don't really keep any makeup in my bag, just because I don't have the time to reapply/I don't really want to anyways. But I do have an EOS Lip Balm, peachy lipgloss, and a MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner.
Stay minty fresh with gum! I know a lot of schools and teachers don't allow gum, however most of mine do, I so I keep some around. I'd also recommend mints, you could totally sneak one in the middle of class and it wouldn't be as obvious are constantly chewing on gum.
Lastly, I have hand sanitizer, the earbuds for my phone, and some hair ties and bobby pins. These are most definitely a necessity for me, you can pretty much find a hair tie in every bag or pocket in my purse.

Ahh, the infamous Mini 'Mergency Kit! My friend got me this for Christmas last year from Francesca's Boutique. I have to admit, I never have really used anything from this, but some of the stuff is really handy! If I were in a pinch and desperate for something, this kit will totally help me out, I just haven't been in that moment yet. The brand has expanded a lot off this idea, there are a few different types of kits now and also new packaging and colors, but check this one out here.

Finally, this is my version of the mini 'mergency kit, I call it my medium 'mergency kit! Just kidding, but it obviously is a bit bigger, however it does hold some essential things. In here I have Colgate Wisps, Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes, NYC Sunny Powder, Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets, another hair tie, some more bobby pins, and a headband, and a teensy tube of lotion that doubles as sunblock. I also stash some, eh hem, feminine products, in here. ;) These are just a few things that I think I might need one day and that don't add too much weight to my bag.

Hope you have some ideas floating around in your head after reading this! Good luck making your own essential kits! Leave any questions or comments below.
